4th Grade Participates in Water Safety Program

Our fourth-grade students traded their textbooks for swimsuits as they participated in CFBISD's annual Water Safety Program at the CFBISD Natatorium the week of November 3-7.

The program, an integral part of the elementary Physical Education curriculum, aims to instill crucial, life-saving water confidence and safety skills in every fourth grader, recognizing that living in Texas means students are often near pools, lakes, and other bodies of water.

Sessions include water safety, proper swimming techniques, use of safety equipment, appropriate behavior in and around the pool, and even beginner diving techniques. The district continues to champion this program as a vital step in reducing the risk of water-related accidents and fostering a generation of water-safe citizens. Our Tigers had so much fun taking their learning outside of the classroom, and will benefit from this valuable, life-saving skill!
